In the Australian city of Perth, Western Australia, a poisonous blue-ringed octopus bit a man. About it reports 7 News.
The incident occurred on December 3, when 18-year-old Jacob Eggington was walking on the beach. The young man was collecting shells for his niece and put one of them in his pocket. He didn’t realize there was a creature hiding in it whose poison was dangerous to humans. When Eggington took the shell out to show it to him, he found an octopus inside.
The mollusk immediately bit the young man in the leg. The condition of the victim began to deteriorate rapidly and he had to be urgently hospitalized.
In the hospital, doctors for six hours provided Eggington with medical care until his condition stabilized.
